The FWF Science Communication Programme is designed to support and enhance the fascination of basic research. The programme aims at supporting outstanding science communication measures with up to EUR 50,000 per application in order to communicate scholarly content from FWF-supported projects to defined target groups in Austria. In all related activities, scholars need to cater to the participatory character of science communication.

Applications can be submitted by all scholars currently or previously in charge of an FWF-funded project. The completion of said project should not date back more than three years at the time of submission. In terms of its content, the science communication project should be directly related to the content of the underlying research endeavour.

Applications need to be submitted in German. One call for submissions per year. In 2017, the call is open until 18 September 2017. It is endowed with approx. EUR 250,000.
