Inductive Coupled Plasma Time of Flight Mass Spectrometer

The ICP-TOF-MS 2R from Tofwerk (Thun, Switzerland) is a new inductively coupled plasma-mass spectrometer utilizing time-of-flight mass separation as opposed to quadrupole-based mass filtering. This allows for the quasi-simultaneous detection of the vast majority of the periodic tables (7-250 a.m.u.) at fast scan rates (46µs), promising a significant step forward in the analysis of engineered and naturally occurring nanomaterials in environmental and biological matrices.
