FWF coaching workshops offer practical insights into how the FWF and its procedures work and shed light on key elements of the application process. The workshops are aimed especially at researchers planning to submit a proposal to the FWF in the near future and who have the necessary qualifications. 
Participants are expected to have some basic knowledge of the FWF, for example by having attended an FWF informational event or an FWF webinar. No restrictions apply with regard to the professional background of the participants. 

Virtual coaching workshops are intended to be of practical use, and alternate input from FWF experts with practical exercises. The main focus of these workshops is the intensive discussion of real-life FWF applications. Participants take on the role of experts and analyze and discuss applications, including the reviews that led to the approval or rejection of each proposal.  The applications that will be used in the workshop will be made available approximately 1 week prior to the event. “Dos and donts” as well as opportunities and pitfalls of the application process are addressed, as well as important aspects of the FWF’s review and decision-making processes. Virtual coaching workshops usually run for about five hours.
