Abstrakt

This is a progress report on the analysis of our extensive CCD UBV photometry campaign of the open cluster NGC 3293 that contains eleven known ? Cephei stars. All of them are multiperiodic with up to seven independent mode periods detected so far. Another group of variables is located near the low-luminosity end of the ? Cephei instability strip; it probably consists of rapidly rotating SPB stars. More than a dozen ? Scuti stars have been confidently identified in the field so far. All are new discoveries; about half of them belong to the cluster. To date, we have also discovered five eclipsing variables in and around NGC 3293.
