We studied the response of the early Martian atmosphere to different EUV fluxes from the young Sun and how it influenced the loss of carbon and oxygen. Since Mars had an intrinsic magnetic field early on, its paleo-magnetosphere also has to be considered during the first few million years to reconstruct the atmospheric escape over the history of the planet.
