Spurious Period Shifts and Changes among Variable Stars

Abstrakt

We present our investigations of period shifts (and changes) among variable stars originating in the intrinsic movement of the star. Furthermore we discuss the effects of the Earth's annual motion around the sun, which could result in a spurious period change.
