In this paper, Amphicyonidae, Ursidae, Ailuridae, Mustelidae, Hyaenidae, Percrocutidae and Felidae of the middle Miocene locality of Çandir are revised and discussed. Altogether, 11 species belong to these families: one amphicyonid, Amphicyon major, one ursid, Hemicyon sansaniensis, one ailurid, Ampictis cuspida n. sp., three mustelids, Ischyrictis (Hoplictis) anatolicus, cf Trochictis depereti and Proputorius sp., two hyaenid species, all belonging to Protictitherium, two percrocutids of the genus Percrocuta and one felid, Pseudaelurus quadridentatus. Taxonomy, systematics, and paleobiogeography of the taxa are briefly discussed. The carnivoran fauna of Çandir turns out to be closely related to contemporary European faunas while African and Asian Carnivora differ at least on species level. Çandir therefore represents in many aspects a fauna typical for the European MN 6, only cf T. depereti and Percrocuta sp. are more advanced while A. cuspida n. sp. is the latest representative of the genus.
