Delving into the dynamical evolution of open clusters offers invaluable insights into Galactic disc properties. Leveraging Gaia DR3 data, our study explores the temporal evolution of kinematical and dynamical characteristics within the Galactic open cluster population. Our investigation adopts a dual approach, scrutinizing both external perturbations and internal kinematic evolution. Externally, we investigate the determinants of cluster survival, including factors such as mass, density, size, and galactic perturbations. Internally, we employ diverse metrics to track the evolution of intra-cluster member distances over time. This poster presentation unveils the boundaries and potential of the oldest open clusters as crucial tools for deciphering the complexities of our Milky Way.
