Abstrakt

With its high spatial resolution and sensitivity for imaging and spectroscopic observations in the wavelength range 60-200œm, the PACS instrument onboard ESA's Herschel Space Observatory will open unprecedented opportunities for far-infrared observations. We will provide future users with a brief overview of the PACS observing modes, and give an impression of the scientific opportunities that is based on currently planned GTO projects.
