With the #ConnectingMinds program, the Austrian Science Fund FWF encourages researchers to involve non-academic stakeholders in their research projects. Funding is available to teams that combine both academic and social knowledge and are applying them to help tackle social, technological, ecological, and economic challenges. The focus is on transdisciplinarity, innovative research approaches, and support for community engagement and collective learning spaces.
In addition, the Univie offering a Seed Funding: The University of Vienna is providing EUR 3,000 per project team to support the development of short, first phase #ConnectingMinds workshop proposals for research in the areas of the five EU missions (funding for consulting services by external experts). The EU-Missions are Cancer, Climate, Cities, Soil, Waters. Deadline for UNIVIE seed funding applications: 13 December 2024. The seed funding must be retrieved by 31 January 2025.
