Erasmus Day @ FGGA 2026

On the 29 January 2026 all students of the Faculty of Earth Sciences, Geography and Astronomy - the "Faculty of Exploration" - are invited to attend the second Erasmus Day of the Faculty! Inform yourself about your possibilities to internationalise your studies, talk with outgoing-experienced students and the mobility coordinators of the Faculty - and explore universities throughout Europe and beyond.

  • When: Thursday, 29 January 2026, 15:00 - 16:30 - afterwards get-together with drinks & snacks
  • Where: UZA II, Lecture Hall 2 (Floor 1, Section A), Josef-Holaubek-Platz 2, 1090 Vienna

15:15 - Testimonials: "Outgoings" report on their experiences

  • Livia Schulz (Geography student) student) reports on her preparations for a Erasmus+ study visit in the summer semester 2026 in Bulgaria, Sofia
  • David Schuhbauer (Meteorology student) reports on his Erasmus+ internship in La Rénunion & his Erasmus+ stay in Norway, Oslo
  • Nina Ballhausen (Geography student) reports on her Non-EU Exchange Program study visit in Australia, Sydney
  • Gwenaëlle Van Looveren (postdoc at the deparmtent of Astrophysics) reports on the Erasmus+ stay at the University of Vienna in the summer semster 2018 and how this affected the further career

  • Short introduction of the Faculty's mobility coordinators (will be available to answer questions afterwards)

16:30 - Get-together with drinks and snacks

The mobility coordinators as well as experts from the International Office and the SSC will be available to answer individual questions at the subsequent get-together.
