The Facuty and especially the Department of Astrophysics deeply mourn the loss of ao. Univ.-Prof. Dr. Ernst Dorfi, who passed away on 1 August 2020 completely unexpectedly at the age of 64. This is a major loss to the scientific and teaching body of the Department.
Ernst Dorfi was the modest scientific giant in the room, a devoted teacher, a great colleague and friend. We will miss him deeply. Our thoughts are with his family and friends.
The funeral will take place on 14 August 2020 at 2:00 pm in Klein-Engersdorf.
