- Abstract
The framework crystal structures of potassium scandium arsenates KSc(HAsO4)2 and rubidium scandium diarsenate RbScAs 2O7 were analyzed using single-crystal x-ray diffraction analysis. It was found that potassium compound showed a microporous structure, MCV-3, which was characterized by a three-dimensional framework of corner sharing alternating ScO6 octahedra and HAsO4 tetrahedra. It was also found that there was only hydrogen bond of medium strength in the potassium scandium arsenate. The rubidium compound was the first reported diarsenate and was found to be isotypic with at least 27 AIM II diphosphates.
