- Abstract
Five new glycine salts containing zero-dimensional BiX63− hexahalogenobismuthate anions were prepared: (GlyH)3(BiCl6)·2H2O (I) (space group Pna21, Z=4), (GlyH)3(BiBr6)·2H2O (II) (s.g. Cc, Z=4), (GlyH)3(BiBr6)·3H2O (III) (s.g. P21/n, Z=4), (GlyH)4(BiBr6)(Br)·H2O (IV) (s.g. P1̅, Z=2) and (GlyH)3(BiI6)·2H2O (V) (s.g. P21/n, Z=4). The (Gly+···Gly+) type centrosymmetric dimeric cation of glycine was observed for the first time in the structures (IV) and (V). Infrared spectra were
registered and discussed. The bandgap values were calculated and measured.- Organisation(s)
