Abstract

In this paper the crystal structure of glycinium tribromidoplumbate(II) (GlyH)PbBr3 (I), where GlyH is a glycinium cation (NH3CH2COOH), is reported in the orthorhombic space group P212121. The tribromidoplumbate anion (PbBr3) is located in a general position and forms a polymeric 1D-structure. Photoluminescence at ambient conditions using 405 nm laser excitation is observed in the crystal.
