- Abstract
A new compound, (β-AlaH)6(Pb4Br14) (I), where β-AlaH is a cation of β-alanine, was synthesized; it crystallizes in the triclinic space group P1. The tetradeca(bromido)tetraplumbate(II) anion (Pb4Br14)6 is located in a general position and forms a 2D-structure. The crystal exhibits photoluminescence at ambient conditions using 405 nm laser excitation.
