Abstract

The fundamental mode RR-Lyrae light and radial velocity curves presented in Feuchtinger & Dorfi (1994) are Fourier analysed and compared to observational data and other theoretical investigations. For the period range up to 0.8 days the Fourier decomposition of the light curves reproduces the observed values for R21, F21 and F31. The comparison to Lagrangean investigations shows excellent agreement for the radial velocity Fourier parameters. In addition we are able to resolve the phase discrepancy problem at least for the short period range. For periods higher than 0.8 days the Fourier phases F21 and F31 and lie above the observed ranges. We discuss this problem in the context of a lack of observational data and convective energy transport.
