- Abstract
Red Giants and Supergiants are prime targets for interferometric imaging. An excellent example is the imaging of the well known Carbon star R Scl with MATISSE (Drevon et al., 2023). These observations were used to investigate the spatial distribution of the dust-precursor C2H2 and the dust itself. For the image reconstruction the standalone MiRa tool was applied. For this contribution we further study the uniqueness of the detected structures and check for possible artefacts by applying the SQUEEZE, IrBis and the online-MiRa tools to the original data and the OIFits modeler tool to generate synthetic data.
