- Abstract
Crystalline sulfamate salts of glycine (GlyH⋅⋅⋅Gly)(NH2SO3) (I), sarcosine (SarH⋅⋅⋅Sar)(NH2SO3) (II) and dimethylglycine (DMGH⋅⋅⋅DMG)(NH2SO3)⋅H2O (III) with dimeric cations, obtained from aqueous solutions, were structurally and spectroscopically characterized and further compared with the previously known salt of betaine (Bet⋅⋅⋅H⋅⋅⋅Bet)(NH2SO3). Compounds (I) and (II) crystallize in polar symmetry (space groups Pn and Pna21, respectively), while the salt (III) and that of betaine are centrosymmetric (space group settings P21/n and P21/c, respectively).
