Funding is available for research projects that actively involve students and possibly other Citizen Scientists in the research process.
A thematic focus is placed on the EU missions of the Horizon Europe research programme. A maximum of one third of the total call amount will be spent on projects that contribute to the content of these five thematic areas.
Earliest project start: school year 2024/2025
The basic prerequisite for the projects is the involvement of schools, at least one of which must be in Austria.
Project duration: maximum of three years
Max. Funding amount: €350,000; own contribution: min. 10%; overheads: 20% on direct personnel costs. Additional funds for the priorities "Development of CS-Knowhow through international networking", as well as "Science in Schools": Up to max. € 385.000 if one of the topics is fulfilled, if both topics are fulfilled €420.000
